Profine UNO removes suspended particles, bad smell, unpleasant taste, chlorine, all herbicides, pesticides and microplastics. Installation is simple, and maintenance consists only of replacing the internal filter once a year or when the consumption of 7,000 liters is reached, which is indicated by the LED on the head of the filter holder. Inside the elegant housing, a silver-impregnated carbon block guarantees 0.5 micron microfiltration for 7,000 liters of pure, fresh, refined water. UNO is an antibacterial system, enhanced by the guaranteed bacteriostatic action of impregnated silver ions. Through rigorous testing of household water, no pollution or bacterial contamination has been detected, even after extended periods of “holiday” when you are away (tests performed at TIFKLAB). If you don’t want to give up good water even on vacation, take UNO with you! In fact, you can screw it under any sink.
CHARACTERISTICS
- When you turn on the household faucet, the water goes into the Profine UNO filter.
- When the water enters, it covers the surface of the activated carbon (which, let’s remember, is a very complex system rich in various types of molecules and bacteria) begins to pass through the filter wall of the previously formed activated carbon, gradually leaving different substances to settle in the spacious cracks that are characterize; in fact, activated carbon has a very high internal surface area (1 gram of carbon has an area equivalent to a football field) capable of retaining various chemical substances, from large organic molecules (the first to stop), to mineral salts and metals in various forms, to small molecules of chlorine who, after walking around a bit inside, also decide to stop. This phenomenon is known as adsorption and applies to a large part of non-living substances. In our water flow through a common wall we also have living things, bacteria, naturally present in all systems; they have different dimensions, apparently far larger than the aforementioned molecules; most of them find a physical barrier, because the porosity of the coal cylinder (very regular because it is preformed) is smaller than the dimensions of most of them. A small part that thrives is not harmful, but if it grows it can become so; in short, it is important that the bacteria do not find a way to reproduce themselves. And here comes friend Silver, present in minimal traces on the entire volume of coal, blocked from being removed from the water stream, which is nature’s most effective deterrent to bacterial growth.
- Now good and safe water comes out from inside the silver carbon block and reaches the household faucet for food and drink preparation.
INSTALLATION
UNO can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
For installation, just follow local regulations and equipment instructions.
FILTER REPLACEMENT
Cartridge replacement no later than 12 months from the date of installation.
Replace the battery on the LED indicator each time you replace the cartridge.
