Description and operation: Rototec activated sludge plants are constructed with a disinfection compartment inserted in the effluent discharge pipe. The compartment provided will house a chlorine tablet consisting of trichloroisocyanuric acid with 90% active chlorine for long-lasting action. The disinfectant is released over a longer period of time (approximately 30-60 days) thanks to its particular molecular structure. This device can be used in treatment plants to prevent any risk of the discharge water containing a bacterial load that does not comply with legal requirements.
