Imhoff type biological tank for full treatment of domestic sewage or the like, in polyethylene (PE), manufactured by an ISO 9001/2008 certified company, certified according to UNI EN 12566-3 and compliant with Legislative Decree n. 152 of 2006 and C.I.A. Resolution dated 04/02/1977, for underground installation, equipped with: sedimentation cone, inlet pipe and 90° elbow in PVC with watertight gasket, outlet pipe with T deflector in PVC with watertight gasket, biogas vent and inspection, maintenance and flushing manhole covers in PP; optional extensions can be fitted on the inspection covers.

Use and specifications

1. SEDIMENTATION: sedimentation area for incoming solids.

2. DIGESTION: area in which the digestion takes place and the treated effluent flows out.

3. SLUDGE: area in which the biological sludge responsible for treatment of the effluent is formed.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Imhoff type biological tanks consist of two overlapping and hydraulically communicating compartments. In the upper compartment the sedimentable solids fall to the bottom of the sedimentation chamber by gravity. The chamber is suitably inclined to allow the sludge to pass into the lower compartment where digestion takes place. 

USE: complete treatment of sewage from toilets.
